The Jefferson City Lady Jays won their first dual of the season Monday, defeating the Camdenton Lakers 8-1 at Capital City High School.
Jefferson City swept the three doubles matches. Sandhiya Baskar and Cora Wood won 6-2, Esha Pattan and Olivia Littrell won 6-3 and Anagha Garikapaty and Emmarie Graham also won 6-3.
Winning in singles for the Lady Jays were Baskar (6-0), Pattan (6-2), Wood (6-2), Garikapaty (6-0) and Graham (6-1). Littrell lost 1-6.
In JV doubles action, Rachael Smith and Mia Allen went 4-0 and Ayden Jones and Mariah McKinney went 2-1.
Jefferson City (1-0) hosts Rolla at 4:30 p.m. today.
