NEW BLOOMFIELD - The St. Elizabeth Hornets opened the Calvary Lutheran/New Bloomfield Invitational with an 11-1 win against Laquey.
Isaac Green pitched five innings in the win, allowing an unearned run on two hits and one walk while striking out seven.
Dylan Wobbe hit two home runs for St. Elizabeth, a solo shot and a 3-run blast, Carson Kesel was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, and Caleb Oligschlaeger hit 1-for-1 with a triple, two RBI and two walks.
The Hornets (6-4) are scheduled to play either New Boomfield or Lone Jack today in the Invitational, weather permitting.
