LINN - The Dixon Bulldogs scored the game's only run in the bottom of the first inning Friday, beating the Linn Wildcats 1-0 in the Linn Tournament.
Keagan Heywood pitched a complete game for the Wildcats, allowing just one run on one hit in six innings. He walked five and struck out six.
Dixon scored its run on Shannon Kampeter's groundout to the shortstop.
Hayden Phillips had two of Linn's five hits.
Linn (6-4) will continue tournament play today with games against Cuba and Hermann.
