LINN - The Linn Wildcats scored six runs in the first three innings on their way to a 7-2 victory against the Russellville Indians on Thursday in Show-Me Conference play.
Kaleb Brandt and Cody Leivian each had two hits and an RBI for the Wildcats, who led 3-2 after two innings and 6-2 after three innings.
Linn's Aiden Kline was credited with two RBI.
Austin McKim kept the Indians off the board after the first inning to earn the win in the pitcher's circle. McKim struck out six and walked two while allowing two earned runs and four hits in seven innings.
Nolan Schroer pitched 3 innings of relief for Russellville, allowing an unearned run and two hits while striking out three and walking one.
Russellville (6-4, 0-3 Show-Me) will host Versailles and California on Saturday.
Linn (6-3, 2-2) will play today and Saturday in the Linn Tournament.
