Boys Tennis: Helias 9, Moberly 0

The Helias Crusaders continued their undefeated start to the season with their second consecutive sweep, this time earning a 9-0 win Wednesday against the Moberly Spartans.

Ethan Foucheaux and Andrew Dowden combined for an 8-0 win in doubles for Helias, while Jonah Lanigan and Coen Loethen won 8-2 and Caleb Porting and Matthew Liebsch won 8-4.

In singles, Foucheaux won 6-1, 6-2 and Laigan won 6-0, 6-4. Dowden also won 6-0, 6-4, while Loethen cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win. Portin added a 6-1, 6-0 win for the Crusaders and Isaac Rackers won 6-0, 6-0.

The Helias (5-0) varsity is scheduled to go to the Marshall Tournament on Friday, while the junior varsity (4-0) will go to the Sedalia Smith-Cotton doubles tournament.
