VERSAILLES - The Blair Oaks Falcons had three top-10 finishers Wednesday, leading to a first-place finish as a team in the Versailles Invitational at Rolling Hills Country Club.
Blair Oaks posted a 183 in the Stableford scoring tournament, while Eldon was second with a 162. Linn took third with a 137 and Versailles was fourth with a 103.
The Stableford scoring values for each hole were six points for an eagle, five points for a birdie, four points for a par, two points for a bogey and one point for a double-bogey. Players lost one point for each triple-bogey or worse.
Jake Closser finished runner-up out of 58 golfers with a score of 52 to lead Blair Oaks. Dylan Bryan took third place with a 49 and J.J. Quehl was fifth overall with a 46.
Nick Closser rounded out Blair Oaks' team score, just missing the top 10 with a 36 to finish 11th. Todd Bisges posted a 32 and Brady Kicker added a 28 for the Falcons.
Eldon's Aidan Wells was the individual champion, shooting a 55. Teagen Hull also finished in the top 10 for the Mustangs, placing fourth with a 47.
Britt Winslow had the top score for Linn, placing sixth with a 42. Ben Steinbeck tied for seventh with a 39, while Alek Peters tied for ninth with a 37.
Versailles was led by Kyle Bartlett, who tied Peters for ninth with a 37.
Russellville finished sixth in the team standings with a 34. Alex Oligschlaeger led the Indians with a score of 18.
South Callaway was next in the team standings, placing seventh with a 29. Evan Martin posted a 12 to lead the Bulldogs.
Calvary Lutheran was eighth as a team with a score of 23. Jonathan Lieb tied for 12th place with a 34.
