COLUMBIA — The Capital City Cavaliers improved to 3-0 in JV football action Monday with a 44-6 win against the Hickman Kewpies.

The Cavaliers recorded three defensive touchdowns in the win. Caydin Engelbrecht had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown, Vincent Williams returned a fumble 29 yards for a score and Dylan Sturm had a pick-6 for a 22-yard touchdown return.

Isaiah Ntalamu had a pair of rushing touchdowns for 13 and 34 yards to lead the Capital City offense. Matthew Boyer added a 1-yard rushing touchdown.

Boyer and Engelbrecht each added a pair of 2-point conversions.

Lorenzo Gillom finished with four tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble for the Cavaliers.

In Monday's freshman game at Capital City High School, the Cavaliers lost 36-14 to Camdenton.
