MARSHALL — The Helias Lady Crusaders dropped a 5-4 decision Tuesday against the Marshall Lady Owls.

Helias won four of the six singles matches, getting wins from Kylie Bernskoetter (8-4), Emily Knox (8-1), Lily Delk (8-6) and Veronica Swan (9-7). Lainie Mantle lost 3-8 and Samantha Schlacks dropped a 6-8 decision.

Marshall won all three doubles matches, as Mantle and Schlacks lost 3-8, Bernskoetter and Knox lost 7-9 and Delk and Swan lost 3-8.

Helias (2-4) hosts Battle at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in a Central Missouri Activities Conference dual.

In Tuesday's JV dual, Helias won 5-1 and picked up doubles wins from Kelsey McKenna and Helen Pool (6-3), Hannah Meystrik and Mary Lorang (6-2), Emma Komoroski and Elena Myers (6-4), Liz Drainer and Jada Markway (6-2) and Katie Roling and Markway (6-2). Sabrina Schlacks and Sydney Drinkard lost 4-6.
