Locations, times set for state football games

The sites and start times have been decided for the state championship football games.

Late last month, the Missouri State High School Activities Association announced it was moving the Class 1-6 title games from Faurot Field in Columbia to Jefferson City, Helias and Blair Oaks high schools due to potential conflicts at Missouri's football facility.

On Thursday, MSHSAA finalized which school will host which title games.

Adkins Stadium will host three games, starting with the Class 6 title contest at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28.

The Class 4 title game will be played at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, at Adkins Stadium, with the Class 3 game slated for 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5.

The Falcon Athletic Complex in Wardsville will host two title games. The Class 2 game is scheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, with the Class 1 contest set for 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5.

The Class 5 championship game will be played at Ray Hentges Stadium. It will start at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5.

The 8-man championship is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28, at Chillicothe High School.
