Boys Basketball: St. Elizabeth 72, Jamestown 49

ST. ELIZABETH - A strong first-half effort Tuesday gave the St. Elizabeth Hornets a 72-49 victory against the Jamestown Eagles.

St. Elizabeth led 18-6 after one quarter and 41-14 at halftime. The Hornets continued to lead 59-31 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Dylan Wobbe was one of four St. Elizabeth players to score in double figures, posting a game-high 21 points. Clayton Holtmeyer finished with 14 points, followed by Carson Kesel with 12 points and Brock Lucas with 10 points.

Skyler Duncan led Jamestown with nine points.

St. Elizabeth (1-0) will face Linn on Monday in pool-play action of the Eugene Tournament.

Jamestown (0-1) will open the Tipton Tournament next Tuesday against Tipton in first-round action.
