MSHSAA changes date for Helias boys Class 4 semifinal

The Missouri State High School Activities Association has changed the schedule for this week's Class 4-5 Final Four, trimming one day off what was scheduled to be a three-day event.

The Helias Crusaders (23-6) will now face the Vashon Wolverines (24-5) in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday at Hammons Student Center in Springfield. The Helias-Vashon game had been scheduled to be played at 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

The other Class 4 boys semifinal between Cape Girardeau: Notre Dame (26-4) and Raytown South (25-3) is set for 4 p.m. Friday at Hammons Student Center.

The championship game between the semifinal winners is now scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in JQH Arena.

On the MSHSAA website, there is no time or site scheduled for the third-place game. There were no third-place games played in the Class 1-3 Final Four that was completed Saturday in Springfield.
