Girls Basketball: Russellville 66, Calvary Lutheran 33

RUSSELLVILLE - The Russellville Lady Indians finished the regular season with a home win Thursday, defeating the Calvary Lutheran Lady Lions 66-33.

Russellville jumped out to a 19-5 lead after one quarter and extended it to 44-16 by halftime. The Lady Indians continued to lead 57-29 after three quarters.

Allison Schrimpf posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Indians. Reagan Jenkins finished with 12 points and Camryn Paull chipped in 11 points.

Maddie Homfeldt scored a game-high 20 points for the Lady Lions.

Both teams will play Monday in the first round of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament at New Bloomfield. Calvary Lutheran (2-19), the No. 8 seed, plays top-seeded Eugene at 6:30 p.m. Russellville (14-9), the No. 4 seed, takes on fifth-seeded Linn at 7:45 p.m.
