Girls Basketball: Blair Oaks 57, California 51

CALIFORNIA - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons beat the No. 3 team in Class 3 on Thursday night, and did it on the road, to boot.

It's the first time Blair Oaks has beaten the Lady Pintos on the road since 2014.

Mallorie Fick had 18 points, Alyssa Hargus scored 16 and Bailey Rissmiller added 11 in the 57-51 win.

The Lady Falcons led 14-12 after the first quarter, 28-24 at halftime, and the game was tied 37-37 entering the final quarter.

Blair Oaks (14-11, 5-2 Tri-County Conference) is the No. 4 seed in the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at Eldon. The Lady Falcons open against No. 5 Fatima at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

California (19-5, 5-2 Tri-County) is the No. 1 seed in the tournament. The Lady Pintos open against No. 8 Versailles at 4 p.m. Monday.

California won the JV game 37-31. Emma Wolken scored 17 points for Blair Oaks. The Lady Falcons won the two-quarter freshman game 19-14, with Olivia Moyer's eight points leading the way.
