Capital City wrestling season ends at state

COLUMBIA - The Capital City Cavaliers had both of their state qualifiers eliminated Thursday night from the Class 3 wrestling championships.

At 182 pounds, freshman Hurley Jacobs Jr. lost by fall to Lebanon junior Jake Henson in the first round. He then lost by fall to Washington senior Collin Muller in the wrestleback round.

Jacobs ends his season at 33-10.

At 195, Ian Nelson lost twice by medical forfeit due to illness.

Nelson, a sophomore, ends his season at 29-16.
