The Jefferson City Jays will host 14 other schools in the Class 4 District 3 Wrestling Tournament that begins today at Fleming Fieldhouse.

First-round matches are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Action will resume Saturday at 9 a.m.

The Helias Crusaders will join 14 other schools in the Class 3 District 3 Tournament today and Saturday at Willard. The Capital City Cavaliers are in the Class 3 District 4 Tournament hosted by Belton.

In Class 2, the Blair Oaks Falcons are one of 15 teams taking part in the District 2 Tournament at Mexico. The Eldon Mustangs and the School of the Osage Indians are among the teams in the District 3 Tournament hosted by Bolivar.

Fatima, South Callaway, Tipton and Versailles are among the teams assigned to the Class 1 District 2 Tournament hosted by Versailles that starts today.

The top four district finishers in each weight class advance to next week's state tournament, which begins Thursday at Mizzou Arena.
