IBERIA — Zach Voss scored a career-high 37 points Wednesday, leading the Iberia Rangers to a 69-61 win against the Richland Bears in Frisco League play.

Voss also finished with 17 rebounds for a double-double.

The Rangers took sole possession of first place in the Frisco League with a 5-0 record, handing the Bears their first conference loss.

The two teams could meet again in the Class 2 District 9 Tournament, as Iberia has received the No. 1 seed and Richland took the No. 2 seed.

Iberia led 21-14 after one quarter and 39-29 at halftime. Richland closed the gap to 53-47 by the end of the third quarter, but the Rangers won the scoring battle 16-14 in the fourth to secure their fifth straight win.

Wade Bond joined Voss in double figures with 10 points.

Iberia (16-4) resumes conference play Friday at Laquey.
