Prep Volleyball: Capital City goes 0-4-1 at Dig for Life

CAPE GIRARDEAU - The Capital City Lady Cavaliers won the program's first set during the Dig for Life Volleyball Challenge, held Friday and Saturday at Southeast Missouri State.

In pool play, Capital City opened Friday with a pair of losses, falling 10-25, 19-25 to Caruthersville and 13-25, 9-25 to Cape Girardeau Central.

On Saturday, the Lady Cavaliers finished pool play with a split against Senath-Hornersville. Capital City dropped the first set 20-25 but won the second 25-19.

During the challenge round, Capital City lost 15-25, 15-25 to Bunker. Then, in the Black Division's Silver Bracket, the Lady Cavaliers fell in the first round, losing 22-25, 19-25 to New Madrid County Central.

Capital City (0-8-1) is off until Thursday, Sept. 26, when it plays at School of the Osage.
