SPRINGFIELD — The Jefferson City Lady Jays kept their winning ways going Saturday by winning the Hillcrest Classic.

Jefferson City split its six sets in pool play, defeating Platte County 27-25, 25-20, splitting with Lebanon 25-17, 15-25 and falling 23-25, 17-25 to Willard.

But in bracket play, the Lady Jays defeated Clever 25-17, 25-17, Webb City 25-17, 25-21 and Willard 25-19, 25-20.

Willard placed fourth in the Class 4 state tournament last season.

Annabelle Maassen recorded 48 kills and 24 digs during the tournament. Kayla Walters tallied 43 kills, Paige Reeser had 101 assists and Rylie Bohanan finished with 29 digs. Reeser also had 25 digs.

Jefferson City (9-1-1) plays Tuesday at Rolla.
