The Jefferson City Lady Jays JV team won 8-1 on Wednesday against Capital City at Washington Park in the Lady Cavaliers first match in program history.

The Lady Jays won all three doubles matches. Kenedy Fischer and Rani Patel won 11-10 (7-5 tiebreaker) against Dahlia Penserum and Abigail Gooch, while Joanna Chen and Esha Pattan won 10-2 against Ella Pea and Emma Casey. Riley Roahds and Cora Wood also picked up a 10-3 victory against Carly Carron and Amyra Singleton.

Winning in singles for the Lady Jays were Fischer (10-6) against Penserum, Chen (10-1) against Gooch, Pattan (10-1) against Casey, Sydney Jordan (10-0) against Carron and Madison Linnenbrink (10-0) against Kalie Strayhorn.

Capital City's lone win in singles came from Pea, who won 11-9 against Patel.

The win improved the Lady Jays' JV record to 2-0.
