ST. LOUIS - The Jefferson City Jays opened the season Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 loss to the C.B.C. Cadets.
The game was scoreless through halftime before the Cadets scored twice in the final 17 minutes to pick up the victory.
Jefferson City is back in action Sept. 1 when it hosts Hickman to start the home portion of its schedule.
