Jays soccer falls 1-0 in Class 4 quarterfinals

LEE'S SUMMIT - It was expected to be a low scoring match.

It ended up being as low scoring as it could get as the season came to and end Saturday for the Jefferson City Jays in a 1-0 defeat against the Lee's Summit West Titans in the Class 4 quarterfinals.

The lone goal didn't come until there were seven minutes remaining.

The Jays finish with a record of 18-6.

Lee's Summit West (19-5) advances to the state semifinals against Lee's Summit (21-0) at 6:30 p.m. Friday at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton.
