NEOSHO - The Helias Crusaders were 40 minutes from their first soccer Final Four appearance since 2015.
Then Neosho went on the attack.
The Wildcats scored three second-half goals, including two in the final nine minutes, to defeat the Crusaders 4-2 in the Class 3 quarterfinals.
Isaac Johnson scored early on to give Helias a 1-0 lead and Connor Mudd made it 2-1 with 6 minutes remaining.
Neosho scored its first-half goal at the 19:35 mark.
The Wildcats tied it at 2 with 28:45 remaining, took the lead with 8:38 left and added the final goal with 1:27 remaining.
Helias ends its season at 9-16-1.
Neosho (18-7) will face Platte County (25-1) at 1 p.m. Friday in the state semifinals at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton.
