Boys Basketball: Bentonville (Ark.) 72, Jays 62

BLUE SPRINGS - The Jefferson City Jays were outscored 26-6 in the third quarter Saturday, losing 72-62 to Bentonville (Ark.) in the fifth-place game of the Blue Springs Tournament.

The Jays led 20-11 after one quarter and 31-23 at halftime. However, Bentonville dominated the third quarter to take a 49-37 lead into the fourth.

Ben Folz paced the Jays with 25 points and five rebounds, while Sterling DeSha had 15 points and six rebounds. 

Kaidyn Johnson added 13 points.

Jefferson City (3-3) is off until Dec. 27, when the Jays face Northmont (Ohio) in the first round of the Great 8 Classic at Fleming Fieldhouse.
