MEXICO - The Helias freshman boys basketball team began its season Monday with a 61-54 win against Battle in the Mexico Tournament.
Colby Gates led the Crusaders with 13 points and Cale Sappenfield added 11 points.
Helias (1-0) plays Hickman in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. today.
