EUGENE - The Linn Lady Wildcats beat the Tuscumbia Lady Lions 51-39 for fifth place in the Eugene Tournament on Friday night.
Lindsey Brant scored 13 points for Linn, and Lexie Heidbrink added 10 points in the win.
Trailing 11-3 after the first quarter, the Lady Wildcats used a 20-point second-quarter surge, while holding Tuscumbia to two points, to take a 23-13 lead at halftime. Linn continued to lead 33-28 after three quarters.
Linn (3-1) plays Monday at Iberia.
