EUGENE - The Calvary Lutheran Lady Lions dropped a 40-34 decision Wednesday to the Linn Lady Wildcats in the loser's bracket semifinal of the Eugene Tournament.
The Lady Lions fell behind 9-5 after one quarter and 22-13 at halftime, but they closed the gap to 28-23 by the end of the third quarter.
Maddie Homfeldt led the Lady Lions with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Claire Baker scored a team-high 11 points for the Lady Wildcats.
Calvary Lutheran (0-3) hosts Linn in a rematch next Thursday.
Linn (2-1), the No. 5 seed, will play sixth-seeded Tuscumbia at 6 p.m. Friday in the fifth-place game.
