Capital City wrestling beats Tipton in dual

TIPTON - The Capital City Cavaliers improved their dual record to 4-1 on Wednesday with a 48-27 win against the Tipton Cardinals.

Winning by fall for the Cavaliers were Izzy Eitel at 106 pounds, Joey Huerta at 132, Lorenzo Gillom at 160, Hurley Jacobs Jr. at 182 and Greg Porting at 285.

Picking up wins by forfeit were AJ Kempker at 113 and Jerron Burns at 195.

Winning by decision for the Cavaliers were Sterling Wheatley at 120 and Keaton Schrage at 138.

Justin Sullen at 126, Dillon Mulcahey at 145 and Jabari Hubbard at 152 lost by fall, while Bahshi Traylor loss by decision at 170.

The Cavaliers were open at 220.

In girls matches, Arya Ahmed, Hannah Giesling and Kirsten Kilby lost by fall for the Lady Cavaliers.

Capital City will wrestle Saturday in the Jefferson City JV Open at Fleming Fieldhouse.
