Boys Basketball: St. Elizabeth 74, M.M.A. 58

EUGENE - Brock Lucas scored 17 points in the third quarter Tuesday night to propel the St. Elizabeth Hornets to a 74-58 win against the Missouri Military Academy Colonels in the opening round of the Eugene Tournament.

St. Elizabeth led 15-14 after one quarter and 31-26 at the half. The Hornets then outscored the Colonels 29-12 in the third quarter to take a 60-38 advantage.

Lucas hit five 3-pointers and two free throws in the third quarter. He finished with a game-high 29 points, including seven total 3-pointers.

Ross Struemph totaled 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Hornets (2-0), who will square off against Fatima at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
