MARSHALL, Mo. - The Capital City Cavaliers dropped an 86-46 decision to the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers on Tuesday in pool-play action of the Marshall Tournament.
Smith-Cotton led 18-13 after one quarter, then stretched its lead to 41-23 at halftime and 68-35 through three quarters.
Blake Meredith paced the Cavaliers with eight points.
Capital City (1-2) plays Kirksville at 5:30 p.m. today in its other pool-play game.
