ROLLA - The Jefferson City Lady Jays defeated the Rolla Lady Bulldogs 30-22 on Monday night.
Rolla, ranked No. 3 in Class 4, slowed it down on the offensive end for much of the night. The Lady Jays led 4-2 after one quarter and 13-9 at the half. Jefferson City continued to lead 19-14 heading into the fourth quarter.
Jefferson City (2-0), ranked No. 1 in Class 5, is back in action Friday night when the Lady Jays take on Hazelwood Central in the Norm Stewart Classic at Mizzou Arena. Game time for the rematch of last season's Class 5 quarterfinal, won 62-49 by Jefferson City, is 9 p.m.
