Women's Golf: Lincoln at NSU Classic

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Lincoln women's golf team began their fall season Monday and Tuesday in the Northeastern State Classic at The Club at Indian Springs.

Lincoln had three golfers compete in the 36-hole event, leaving the Blue Tigers unable to post a team score.

Saikati Gikonyo led Lincoln with a 20-over 164 to tie for 73rd place, opening with an 8-over 80 in the first round.

Nyah Singh finished 88th for the Blue Tigers with a 32-over 176, while Elliott Hull (Blair Oaks High School) placed 92nd with a 51-over 195.

Henderson State's Gracen Blount won the tournament with a 7-under 137, closing with a 5-under 67 in her second round. Henderson State also won the team title with an even-par 576, finishing 12 strokes ahead of Rogers State.

Lincoln will play next Monday and Tuesday in the Drury Panther Invitational at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar.
