College Football: Prenger gets first INT

ROLLA - Missouri S&T freshman defensive back Carson Prenger recorded the first interception of his collegiate career in Saturday's 71-0 win against Arkansas Baptist.

Prenger (Blair Oaks High School) made the pick early in the third quarter and returned it to the Arkansas Baptist 26-yard line, which led to a Missouri S&T field goal to extend the lead to 41-0.

Prenger finished with one solo stop, one assisted tackle and one pass breakup.

Sophomore linebacker Ryan Brooks (Jefferson City High School) had a solo tackle in the second quarter for the Miners, the first tackle of his collegiate career.

Missouri S&T (1-1) will host Wayne State (Mich.) on Saturday.
