No. 21 Nebraska-Kearney blanks Lincoln 56-0

KEARNEY, Neb. - The Lincoln Blue Tigers dropped a 56-0 decision Saturday on the road at No. 21 Nebraska-Kearney.

The Lopers rushed for 432 yards and held the Blue Tigers to 166 total yards of offense.

Four Nebraska-Kearney players rushed for at least 50 yards in the win. Miko Maessner led the offense with 10 carries for 109 yards, followed by Shaun Ross with 10 carries for 98 yards. Montrez Jackson and Jacob Green each rushed for 61 yards for the Lopers.

Jackson opened the game by scoring on a 22-yard run and Maessner added a 5-yard touchdown run late in the first half to give Nebraska-Kearney (7-1) a 35-0 lead at intermission.

TJ Davis completed 3-of-5 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Ross added a touchdown pass to Joe Stiffend for 13 yards.

Lincoln running back Hosea Franklin finished the game with 20 carries for 82 yards. Zamar Brake was 6-of-19 passing for 88 yards and Chrisshun Robinson caught three passes for 42 yards.

TeAndre Skinner led the Blue Tiger defense with eight tackles. Jaylon Mosley and LaMarr Spencer each had seven tackles, and Spencer had the team's only tackle for loss.

Lincoln (0-7) will host Central Missouri at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Mules (2-6) lost 21-17 to Fort Hays State on their Homecoming.
