College Football: Alexander gets INT in win

ADA, Okla. - East Central junior defensive back Cody Alexander had his first interception of the season Saturday in the Tigers' 38-17 win against Southern Arkansas.

Alexander (Blair Oaks High School) intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter at the Southern Arkansas 36-yard line. He also finished the game with five total tackles, including three solo stops.

Through five games this season, Alexander ranks third on the Tigers' defense with 30 total tackles, recording at least five tackles in each game. In addition to his interception, he also has a pass breakup and 2.5 tackles for loss.

East Central (4-1) will play Saturday at Henderson State.
