College Volleyball: Rockers has double-double for Columbia College

COLUMBIA - Columbia College sophomore outside hitter Ellie Rockers had a double-double Saturday in the Cougars' 14-25, 25-16, 19-25, 20-25 loss to Texas Wesleyan in the Opening Round of the NAIA national championships.

Rockers (Helias High School) tied for the team lead with 11 kills and added 12 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.

Freshman middle hitter Ellie Crede (Fatima High School) had three kills and one block assist in the loss.

For the season, Rockers finished second on the Cougars with 248 kills and was third on the team with 349 digs, giving her 776 for her career.

She was second on the team with 305 points scored this season.

Crede was third on the team with 232 kills and had 34 total blocks. She has 345 kills in two seasons with the Cougars.

Columbia College, which was ranked No. 17 in the NAIA, ended the season with a 30-9 record.
