ST. LOUIS — Webster freshman Bailey Higgins was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis all-conference team, the league announced Wednesday.

Higgins (Jefferson City High School) made the all-SLIAC first team as the No. 5 singles player and as the No. 3 doubles pairing with Navone Armstrong. Webster accounted for five of the nine spots on the all-SLIAC first team.

Webster won the SLIAC Tournament last Friday in St. Louis, defeating Greenville 5-4 in the championship dual. Higgins won her No. 5 singles match 6-3, 6-1, and Higgins and Armstrong won 8-4 in their No. 3 doubles match.

Higgins posted an 8-4 singles record this spring and went 5-3 in doubles with Armstrong.

Webster finished the 2021 spring season with a 10-6 record.
