College Volleyball: Campbell receives weekly honor

OSKALOOSA, Iowa - William Penn senior libero Cameryn Campbell was named the Heart of American Athletic Conference defender of the week Monday.

Campbell (Jefferson City High School) had a team-high 18 digs last Friday in the Statesmen's 28-26, 25-20, 25-21 win against Clarke. She also served three aces in the win.

Junior outside hitter Corrin Lepper (Jefferson City High School) posted seven kills in the win and added four digs and three total blocks.

Through 11 matches this season, Campbell had compiled 239 digs, which ranks No. 5 nationally in the NAIA.

She also has 23 assists and nine aces.

Campbell has been named the conference's defender of the week twice this season.

Lepper leads the Statesmen with 118 kills and is second on the team with 30 total blocks.

Freshman defensive specialist Tori Martin (Blair Oaks High School) is second on the team with 76 digs.

William Penn (10-2) defeated Graceland in three sets Tuesday night.
