College Baseball: Wood hits go-ahead homer in Missouri State win

TULSA, Okla. - Missouri State junior third baseman Grant Wood belted a three-run home run Tuesday, lifting the Bears to a 6-3 win against Oral Roberts.

Wood (Jefferson City High School) broke a tie at 3 in the top of the ninth inning with the home run, his first at Missouri State. He also hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth to tie the game at 2.

In eight games this season with the Bears, Wood is batting .367 (11-for-30) with four RBI, five runs scored and two doubles to go with his home run. He has started in every game.

Missouri State (4-4) plays Friday at Rice.
