College Softball: Jett pitches complete game for William Woods

FORT WORTH, Texas - William Woods freshman pitcher Mychael Jett tossed a complete game in her collegiate debut Feb. 7, leading the Owls to a 5-4 win against Ottawa in the NAIA Cowtown Classic.

Jett (Jefferson City High School) gave up four unearned runs on six hits in seven innings, striking out five with no walks.

Freshman designated player Abbi Pringer (Helias High School) went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in the win. Senior shortstop Regan Wilde (St. Elizabeth High School) went 1-for-2 with a single and a run scored for the Owls.

Jett pitched in two games in the Classic, posting a 1.75 ERA in 12 innings with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Pringer started all five games and is third on the team with a .412 batting average (7-for-17) with one double, three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases. Wilde started in three games and is hitting .125 (1-for-8).

William Woods (1-4) will play a doubleheader Sunday at Cottey College.
