Lincoln women fall at home to Central Missouri

The Lincoln women's basketball team battled back from a double-digit first-quarter deficit, but the Central Missouri Jennies dominated the second half for a 92-69 victory Saturday afternoon at Jason Gym.

Lincoln trailed 25-10 after one quarter, but the Blue Tigers went on a 16-4 run in the second quarter. Niyah Jackson scored a layup with a little more than two minutes left in the second quarter to put Lincoln ahead 37-35.

Central Missouri went into halftime with a 41-37 lead, then outscored Lincoln 29-19 in the third quarter and led by double digits throughout the fourth quarter.

Brooke Littrell scored 19 points for Central Missouri (5-0) and was one of six Jennies to score 10 or more points in the win.

Jackson finished with a game-high 25 points for the Blue Tigers. Joseline Ramos and AJ Bradley added 19 and 16 points, respectively.

Lincoln (0-5) plays next Saturday at Washburn. Tip-off is at 1 p.m.
