Men's Golf: Lincoln finishes 16th in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH - The Lincoln men's golf team placed 16th out of 20 teams in the Holiday Inn Express Classic held Monday and Tuesday at St. Joseph Country Club.

The Blue Tigers finished with a 930 in the three-round event. Brayden Watts led Lincoln with a 230, tying for 57th place.

Senior Gabe Trowbridge (Jefferson City High School) and Jordan Barnett tied for 62nd place with a 232, while senior Logan Taylor (South Callaway High School) tied for 79th with a 237. Freshman Austin Siebeneck (Jefferson City High School) finished 93rd with a 249.

Trowbridge shot an even-par 71 in the first round and was tied for 11th place after 18 holes.

Central Missouri's Matt Hoemann and Sam Parrott tied for the individual title with a 2-under 211. Central Missouri also won the team title with a 5-over 857.

Lincoln hosts the Blue Tiger Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Jefferson City Country Club.
