BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Southern Illinois senior forward Nicole Martin finished with a team-high four assists Tuesday in the Salukis' 81-78 loss at IUPUI.
Martin (Jefferson City High School) also scored 12 points in the loss, shooting 4-of-10 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed four rebounds and blocked a shot.
Through two games, Martin is averaging 13.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, shooting 9-of-17 from the field.
Southern Illinois (1-1) hosts Tennessee Tech on Saturday for its home opener.
