Men's Basketball: Harrison scores 16 points in season debut

FULTON - Westminster sophomore guard Landon Harrison finished a rebound shy of a double-double Monday in the Blue Jays' 93-91 loss to Central Christian College of the Bible.

Harrison (Helias High School) was second on the Blue Jays with 16 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, adding four assists. He shot 6-of-10 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, and made a pair of free throws.

Junior forward Steven Brandt (Fatima High School) also started for the Blue Jays, finishing with eight points and two rebounds.

Coming off the bench, sophomore forward Jonathan Geier (Versailles High School) had three points and two rebounds, while sophomore forward Trenton Barbour (Jamestown High School) added three rebounds, two blocked shots and two assists for the Blue Jays.

Westminster (0-1) plays Friday at Buena Vista in the A-R-C/SLIAC Challenge.
