ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Highland Community College freshman Maxson Muenks came in 262nd place out of 343 runners Saturday in the NJCAA national championships at the University of New Mexico.

Muenks (Fatima High School) had a time of 29:41.86 in the men's 8K race. He was sixth out of the seven runners for the Scotties.

Highland was 25th out of 45 teams with 696 points in the final standings.
