WORCESTER, Mass. — Army junior Haley Watson helped the Black Knights to a first-place finish in the women's 4x800-meter relay during the Patriot League track and field championships, hosted by Holy Cross last Friday and Saturday.

Watson (Jefferson City High School) and the Black Knights clocked a winning time of 8:47.84, beating runner-up Loyola of Maryland by 1.66 seconds.

The win is Watson's eighth career title at Army. Four of the wins have come in relay events.

Watson also took fifth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.81.
