ESTERO, Fla. - Drake redshirt senior forward Sara Rhine scored a team-high 22 points Sunday in the Bulldogs' 83-82 win against Auburn in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
Rhine (Eldon High School) shot 8-of-12 from the field and was 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. She also grabbed six rebounds in the win.
Through eight games, Rhine leads the Bulldogs with 19.4 points per game and leads the Missouri Valley Conference with a 67.0 percent shooting clip, ranking eighth in NCAA Division I in that category. She is also averaging 6.1 rebounds per game.
Drake (6-2), which received a vote in this week's AP Top 25 poll, hosts Waldorf on Thursday.
