COLUMBIA — The Missouri women's basketball team picked up its third verbal pledge for the 2021 class Monday afternoon in Batesville (Ark.) High School's Isabella Higginbottom.

A four-star point guard prospect by ESPN's HoopGurlz ranking listed at 5-foot-7, the Pioneers were state semifinalists this past season before the Arkansas 4A Girls state title game was canceled due to the coronavirus.

"I want to thank Coach Pingeton and the rest of the staff at Mizzou for this amazing opportunity," she wrote on Twitter. "With that being said, after a lot of thought and prayer I have decided to commit to the University of Missouri. Go Tigers!"

Higginbottom is the Tigers' third 2021 commit, and the second top-100 prospect per ESPN's ranking, joining a pair of forwards in newly-minted five-star Kiya Dorroh from Sabino (Ariz.) High School and Jefferson City Lady Jay Sarah Linthacum, both of whom committed earlier this year.
