Louie Schepers

Dear Editor:

I would like to commend the Missouri Conservation Commission for giving initial approval to the Missouri Department of Conservation for proposed changes that would allow expanded use of bicycles and e-bicycles on most department-area service roads and multi-use trails.

It is so good to see that someone has the foresight to realize bicycling is a great activity with many health benefits. Since the start of COVID-19, the number of people bicycling has really grown.

E-bicycles are the bicycles of the future. I see more of them on the Katy Trail and around Jefferson City all the time. Some people are riding them to work. If we could just get some good safe trails in the city many more people would be bicycling. Once again, thank you Conservation Commission for your foresight.
