Your Opinion: Jan. 6 attack on Capitol

Dear Editor:

Many opinions have been expressed both verbally and in print concerning the actions of those involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol building.

Some said it wasn't an attack on freedom, but rather an expression of disapproval concerning the lost presidential election of President Donald Trump.

Remembering the political party that promoted MAGA or "Make America Great Again," please take a moment and consider these words spoken by Philosopher Jose' Ortega y Gasset and quoted in Forbes Magazine: "What makes a nation great is not primarily its great men, but the stature of its innumerable mediocre ones."

Was the stature of those who attacked the Capitol building and its personnel increased or decreased by their actions?
