Politicians in Washington, D.C., want to spend $1.9 billion to fortify the Capitol after the Jan. 6 riot that they said was started by Trump supporters. The Capitol belongs to the taxpayers, not those greedy self- centered politicians who are afraid of being there. Also, the money will be used to hire more security guards to protect them while traveling and protect their home offices in their state. This was already done after the 9/11 attack when they sponsored a bill to allocate money then.
This all is being done by Democrats, as you can imagine. At least Republicans are taking a stand and that is what this country needs. Now they want to give more incentives and raises to retain and hire more staff and keep their Capitol staff when we need people in the workforce around the country. Use some of that money to help train people who have no skills to get them started into a job and also work with the companies to also help these people to get the skill to retain that job and help pay some of the cost.
So, they say screw the American people - protecting politicians comes first and the taxpayers can fend for themselves. How self-centered can politicians be? Why don't they spend some of that money to find out why Biden and his son supposedly made millions of dollars off the Ukraine deal while he was vice president and was brought up again while the 2020 elections were going on. Probably because they don't want to make this an issue. Now the Justice Department needs to look into this, but I almost bet that there are politicians in Washington who want this to stay buried. So, Biden and his son are safe as long as Biden is in office and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have a grip in Washington.
Politicians need to cower down as if they are the only ones who matter in this situation. Politicians don't care how the public feels as long as they feel safe. What cowards they are. God help us all as long as the Democrats are in power.
